I was at F5 at the Roseland Ballroom yesterday. The event was definately a refresher (yes like the F5 key) to see what is happening in design around the world. I really enjoyed the speakers so far. The ones that stood out most for me were Tronic, The Blackheart Gang, Dvein, and Moment Factory. There were quite a few pieces presented with this sort of digital graffiti theme on buildings and pop-up book style illustrations. It was delightful to break out of the web for a day and see various mediums like cnc milling being used to create stunning sculptures in space and the human interactivity with these forms. Can’t wait for day 2!
